Perfil

Artista plástica de la Universidad de los Andes, obtuvo una beca Fulbright para cursar una Maestría en Medios Digitales en Rhode Island School of Design. Trabaja principalmente con video, instalación y medios electrónicos, explorando relaciones entre tiempo, historia y fracaso. Ha sido artista residente en SOMA, México; Skowhegan School of Art, Maine, con una beca de la Fundación Cisneros y en Harvestworks Digital Media Arts Center, Nueva York. Ha participado en exposiciones individuales en la Alianza Francesa y en la Cámara de Comercio de Bogotá; y en exposiciones colectivas en Colombia, Ecuador, México, Estados Unidos e Inglaterra. De 2011 a 2012 obtuvo, con el grupo cooperativa, la beca de investigación curatorial para los 14 Salones Regionales de Artistas – Zona Centro del Ministerio de Cultura. Ha sido catedrática de la Universidad de Los Andes, de la Universidad de Caldas y de RISD. Desde 2009 es Profesora Asociada del Programa de Artes Plásticas de la UJTL, donde coordina el área de Plástica en Medios.

Plastic artist of the University of Los Andes, she obtained a Fullbright scholarship to pursue a Master's in digital Media at the Rhode Island School of Design. She works mainly with video, installationon a grant  and electronic media, exploring relationships between time, history and failure. She has been a resident artist in SOMA, México; Skowhegan School of Art, Maine, on a grant of the Cisneros Foundation and in Harvestworks Digital Media Arts Center, Nueva York. She has participated in individual expositions in the French Alliance and the Commerce Chamber of Bogota; and in group exhibitions in Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, USA and England. Between 2011-2012 she obtained, with the Cooperativa group, the curatorial research grant for the 14 Regional Artist Salons - Center Zone of the Culture Ministry. She has been professor on the Los Andes University, Caldas University and RISD. Since 2009 she is Associate Professor of the Plastic Arts program at the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University, where she coordinates the area of Plastic in Media.
