Ingeniera Química de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Realizó sus estudios de maestria en Sao Paulo (Brasil) con beca del Estado de Sao Paulo (CNPq) en la Universidad de Sao Paulo (USP), trabajó en la producción de plástico biodegradable en biorreactores Airlift. Sus estudios de Doctorado los realizó en la Universidad de Porto (Portugal), llevando a cabo una parte importante de su trabajo en Harvard Medical School y MIT (MA, USA), en el área de Ingeniería de Tejidos. Obtuvo su doctorado con distinciones del Instituto de Engenharia Biomedica. En cuanto a su producción, cuenta con publicaciones científicas en revistas internacionales y una patente internacional. Sus intereses incluyen biotecnología, nanotecnología y biomateriales.

 

Profile

Dr. Alis Pataquiva-Mateus is a chemical engineer from the National University of Colombia, she completed her master's studies in Sao Paulo (Brazil) with a scholarship from the State of Sao Paulo (CNPq) at the University of Sao Paulo (USP), and worked in the production of biodegradable plastic in Airlift bioreactors. Her doctoral studies were carried out at the University of Porto (Portugal), carrying out an important part of her work at Harvard Medical School and MIT (MA, USA), in the area of Tissue Engineering. She obtained her doctorate with distinctions from the Institute of Biomedical Engineering. Regarding her production, Dr. Pataquiva-Mateus has scientific publications in international magazines and an international patent. Her interests include biotechnology, nanotechnology, and biomaterials.
