About Bogotá
Bogotá is located on a fertile high plateau, known as the Sabana de Bogota, at the heart of the Andes mountains in Colombia. The city with a population over 7 million, houses many different museums (among them the Gold museum and the Botero Collection at Casa de la Moneda), the capital city of coffee country also has a diverse culinary repertoire. With the perfect climate, as it is never too hot nor too cold (average temperature is 14C, 2600 m altitude), the city offers different hiking opportunities.
Universidad Central and Universidad de Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano are located downtown, near the Transmilenio station Universidades connected to terminal El Dorado near the airport.
